Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Medium Ghazi needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Ghazi is a very special and very lucky 2 year old cat, born in early February 2014 in Kuwait, (yes the Kuwait in the Middle East!) Ghazi had to fend for himself at a very young age and compete for food with hundreds of other ownerless Kuwait cats. He figured out early that people provided food and he is VERY loving to people as a result. Ghazi wants to be the center of attention and be petted constantly! Because he started out as a "street cat" he isn't comfortable about being picked up and held, but since he is still a young cat, learning to trust his new family in a safe and loving home could change that! Ghazi should be the only cat in his home, though he seems quite comfortable sharing space with a family dog. We think he had to compete so fiercely with the other feral cats in Kuwait for food to survive, that he views all cats as competition for food and attention and that might not change, even in a loving home. The story behind Ghazi's arrival in the U.S. and eventually to our rescue in Ventura Co. is too long for this space, but we will be happy to share it with you when you meet him at our Saturday adoption event at PETCO in Camarillo. Ghazi is already neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and has great litter box habits. You can meet beautiful Ghazi at our Camarillo PetCo adoptions, or call (805) 485-8811 or email adoptions@catscradlerescue.org to schedule an appointment.
