Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small FIV+ Diabetic
Sweet Pita has come along way from the starving little girl we trapped at one of our feral feed sites. She is FIV positive but has no symptoms. The Vet said she is the picture of health except that she also has diabetes. Her diabetes is well under control with a combination of diet and insulin. She currently get .5 units of Lantus (insulin) twice a day and her glucose numbers are in the 90 to low 100 range. She is a lap cat who enjoys the attention of humans. She tolerates the dogs acutally playing with her foster brother Ben who is an extra large german shepard dog. She is learning to get along with her foster sibling kitties but needs a slow introduction. Contact Monica at mega.kitties@gmail.com for adoption info.
