Domestic Short Hair / Calico / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small Unique blue and gold eyed calico
This beautiful kitty is the Katy Perry of Cats! She has amazing and unique natural talents! She doesn't sing or dance, but she keeps your attention focused on her! This sweet little girl was rescued by Cats Cradle Rescue as a tiny newborn in May of 2010. She and her brother were born in a wet cardboard box beside a driveway of a Santa Paula home and abandoned by momcat when they were only a day old. This little girl was a very small kitten and has grown into a very small adult cat (6-7 lbs. now, but only 2 ounces when born!) She is a very sweet and very unique calico cat with a blue eye, a yellow eye, and she loves to play, talk to you, and climb on your lap for petting. She is small, but you get tons of personality per pound! She is a very affectionate cat who loves to be where you are. When she is in the mood (often), she hops up on your lap for some love and a nap in your lap under a blanket. Sometimes she likes to snuggle up on your chest and give kisses and special kittypaw neck massages. She is very playful and is comfortable around dogs who are cat-friendly. However, she isn't as comfortable around female cats and seems to prefer calm male cats as companions. She may have a mild neurological issue that started before she was born since she exhibits a few symptoms of feline cerebellar hypoplasia. She walks a bit funny (duck footed - see 2nd photo), likes to run around, star gaze, chase her tail and the laser pointer dot, but sometimes is startled by things that move quickly and unusual noises, but she always recovers immediately and is willing to try pretty much anything! She always remembers to use her litterbox and very smart. We are looking for a calm home with a loving family who will be charmed by her little quirks and love her for the unique cat that she has become. Katie will be shown for adoption at the Ventura PETCO from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. most Saturdays and Sundays. Please call Georgetta at 805-647-7173 for more information.
