Shami, born 8/23/24, was rescued thanks to a previous adopter. She spotted a momma cat (recognized from the previous rescue of a single kitten) near her place of work in Ventura, and followed her to a storage container. Two more kittens were soon spotted, popping their little heads out from under the container when momma came around. This amazing young lady knew just what to do, so she started feeding the little family to establish a pattern, and then contacted us for help. Within a couple of hours Sudsy and his brother Shami were safely in a trap. Momma eluded us for a couple more weeks but eventually trapped, fixed and released as she was fully feral. Full circle complete, kittens safe and no more babies for momma cat. Shami and Sudsy are now ready for their happy ever after. Shami is the shyer of the two boys. He loves to explore, is very playful with all other kitties, but needs a gentle approach for pets. Great snuggles at bedtime with an amazing purr motor, his favorite spot is right on his human sister's head. He always calls dibs on the comfiest spot on the pillow. His confidence is growing more and more every day as well as his trust of us giant creatures called humans. If this amazing, unique, cow kitty sounds like your cup of tea, apply today to visit him at our Ventura adoption center.
