Tyson had her ears clipped by mistake while she was being altered. It is a normal procedure to clip the tip of one ear on a feral or wild cat that has been trapped, altered and released back into their wild habitat. This signals to rescuers that this cat has already been spayed or neutered. Unfortunately, this particular two kitten was tame. However, we feel her clipped ears give her character, so we named her Tyson and her brother Holyfield. The male, Holyfield, was immediately adopted, but was neglected by his new home and was confiscated. He was re-adopted with his sister, Tyson, to a second home, but both were again return to CCR, due to allergies. For Holyfield, the third time was a charm! He has been adopted to a permanent home now and is doing well. Tyson is still looking for a loving, permanent home. She was born last spring and is very sweet and playful! She is available for adoption at our Ventura Petco adoption site.

Each animal lives in a foster home as part of the family. Cats Cradle Rescue requires an adoption application and contract with each animal. Our adoption fee covers Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno Virus testing, first year's shots, spay/neuter and microchip. We also send you home with a collar, CCR tag and starter food.
