About Cooper

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Tan (Mostly)
  • Color: Shy / Tabby
  • Current Age: 5 Years 9 Months (born on 3/10/2019)
  • Housetrained: Yes

Cooper was born around the middle of March 2019 and rescued from a cat "overflow" situation in Taft where the cats and kittens were being fed, but the kind man feeding them did not have the ability to spay and neuter the cats he cared for. Cats Cradle Rescue was able to help out and get the multitude of cats fixed and find homes for most of the kittens.

Cooper is a shy boy who is still waiting for his forever home.  He will need a loving and patient family to bring out the best in him since he will take some time to fully trust new people. At home he is absolutely lovable and a cuddle cat.  He has the most gorgeous almost-Savannah cat coat with lots of defined spots and an amazing "racing stripe" down the middle of his back, but he isn't a huge cat and probably won't grow much more.

Wherever he goes, it's going to take a maybe a month for him to fully trust his new family.  He is very sweet though and talks a lot! He absolutely adores chin scritches and purrs like a little motor.  He was fostered with an Oxnard family who has 2 small dogs and other cats so he might be a good addition for a family with pets.

Please contact us at CatsCradleInfo@gmail.com if you want to meet Cooper.  Cooper is shown on Sundays at the Cats Cradle Rescue Adoption Center in Ventura (1954 E. Main St. - corner of Main and Santa Cruz- between noon and 4:30)

You can complete an application for Cooper online at CatsCradleRescue.org.

Because he is so shy, Cooper does not "show" well for us at adoptions, so he has been overlooked for months!  We have had him in foster care since he was a small kitten. If you have the patience and the love - and some cat "skills," please think about adopting Cooper and giving him a loving home!

Best Wishes for a Safe and Happy Holiday Season and THANK you for thinking Adoption!
