Message from Teresa about the kittens:

This kitten was born in the week of March 10th 2018. The whole litter of 5 kittens are all spayed or neutered and microchipped.  All of their shots are up-to-date.They are located in Ventura County, currently in Ojai.

My Uncle, a very kind-hearted man and quite the animal advocate started to feed a few stray cats, they multiplied quite fast. He would spay/neuter as fast as he could, he suffered a setback with his diabetes and lost a leg. He was a rockstar at his then age of 75 years old, rehab, prosthetic and he was up and running.

He almost got caught up with spay/neutering when his prosthetic failed. He fell and broke his hip. From that point his life was never quite the same, the kitties kept multiplying and his diabetes just got worse and had to have his other leg amputated now at 79 years old.

I promised my Uncle I would help him, we were making plans of my temporary move from Texas to be by his side. His main concern before his own welfare was his cats. My Uncle passed away February 1 of this year. I am heartbroken and overwhelmed with his 13 feral cats and 8 kittens.

I have reached out to many, I have had rescues advise me, help me, teach me and lend me traps and vouchers. I have put in quite a lot of money myself for the well being of these beautiful animaIs. I have learned a lot since being here, TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) is now not such a foreign term to me now. I believe I will be able to help others in the future as they have helped me.

I have brought all the kittens in as soon as they would eat on their own and nursed no longer. I have spent many hours with each one, they are absolutely perfect! They are funny, playful, and lovable. They love to be touched, pet and held. I have trimmed their nails and even bathed them so they are not skittish.

I have been to many adoptions, I was successful at adopting out 3 of my 8 kittens and am needing help with the rest. I am looking for someone to please foster these beauties and help find them loving homes as the one they are leaving.

My Uncles house is a 1924 model and may not last another year. I still have his feral cats to relocate. I haven’t had a second to grieve the loss of my Uncle, but I can assure you he is smiling down from heaven.

Thank you and everyone who is willing to help me in this unforeseen challenge.

All my kittens are very social and extremely adoptable. I'm not worried about them being in foster care very long so if anyone is available to take a kitten for fostering or adoption, will you please reach out to me?
