Lovely Lily, Sweet Senior Tortie

About Lily

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Color: Tricolor
  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes

Lily was dropped off by her family (who raised her from a kitten) at an LA County animal shelter a few months ago.  Since the shelter has a policy to euthanize animals who they consider less than adoptable due to age, physical condition, etc., the rest of her life was measured in just days or a few weeks.  She was rescued by a cat lover from the LA Shelter and Cats Cradle Rescue agreed to take her and find her a new home.  Since we were (and are still) in the middle of "kitten season", she is living at our Adoption Center in Ventura since all of our foster homes are full at the moment.

She is about 10 years old and qualifies for our senior adoption discount,  She is not an assertive cat and is very shy when there is a lot of activity in our Adoption Center. We think she probably would do best in a quiet home.  We understand that she has lived with a cat-friendly dog, but we think that she would do best in a quiet only cat home.  She loves treats and is gradually becoming comfortable in our Adoption Area and should be a GREAT cat for a senior human home.  She doesn't have any health issues that we know of, other than being a bit stiff in her back...gentle head-petting is preferred to a long back stroking.

We would love to find a forever (or even foster) home for her that doesn't have other cats where the family would be home most of the time so she doesn't get lonesome.  She is low-key and very quiet here, but might blossom into a wonderful loving family pet for the right family.

She is currently being fostered in a volunteer's home. Please feel free to email us for more information at adoptions@catscradlerescue.org.

More about Lily

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

Cats Cradle Rescue animals are spayed or neutered and have received at least one vaccination before they are placed up for adoption.  Each animal lives in a foster home as part of the family.

Cats Cradle Rescue requires an adoption application and contract with each animal.  Our adoption fee covers Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno Virus testing, first year's shots, spay/neuter and microchip.  We also send you home with a collar, CCR tag and starter food.
