American Shorthair / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young
Gingersnap was born around 4-13-11 in Oxnard near a tire store. She was the only survivor of her litter. A single sibling disappeared from the site before we were able to rescue both kittens. Gingersnap somehow lost her right eye before she was rescued. She was brought into Cats Cradle foster care when she was about 5 or 6 weeks old with severe eye and upper respiratory infections. Gingersnap is a fearless and very bold and outgoing kitten. Having only one working eye doesn't slow her down one bit! She loves to bounce up onto your lap and give you kitty kisses, then bounce down and chase and bat her favorite toy, a crinkly foil ball. She is a very special little girl and will even fetch her ball and bring it to you for you to throw for her over and over again. She also loves to cuddle up on your lap or next to you as you sleep after a hard day of play. Ginger recently had her operation to remove what is left of her bad eye so it won't cause her any health problems later. A big thank you goes from CCR to the generous people who made donations that enabled us to schedule her much needed surgery. She is recovering very well - she didn't like her e-collar and figured out how to remove it the first day after surgery.
