Misty was born about three years ago and was originally adopted from the Camarillo Animal Shelter to a local family along with another cat (Ghost).  The family was unable to keep the cats due to a relocation.  

She needs to find a quiet dog-free home with a family who has great “cat skills” and the patience to ease her past her shy nature.  She and Ghost are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together.  She does need to be in a dog-free home with a patient calm family on a regular schedule to be the best cat she can be.

Misty Update!  After basically living in one small corner of our cat room for a bit over a month, Misty is finally comfortable enough to come out and interact with calm people she has come to trust.  She isn't a lap cat yet, but she LOVES to be petted and get chin scratches from people she knows are okay.  The transformation is AMAZING and she is continuing to surprise us every day by becoming a bit bolder and a bit more trusting every day.  She is still shy with crowds and strangers, but is starting to trust new people much more quickly and interact for treats and pets! She is also becoming a talker - who knew!?

Cats Cradle Rescue animals are spayed or neutered and have received at least one vaccination before they are placed up for adoption.  Each animal lives in a foster home as part of the family.

Cats Cradle Rescue requires an adoption application and contract with each animal.  Our adoption fee covers Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno Virus testing, first year's shots, spay/neuter and microchip.  We also send you home with a collar, CCR tag and starter food.
